Introduction of pressure units commonly used in the hydraulic industry

We mainly talk about 3 common pressure units: kgf/cm2, bar, MPa

1、kgf/cm2 (kilogram force/cm2)

Until the 1960s and 1970s, the unit of pressure has been the use of kilogram force / cm2 (kgf / cm2), which is commonly known as "kilograms". Meaning is: 1 kilogram force for 1 cm2 of the area produced by the pressure is 1 kg, very easy to understand and remember, so, to date, there are many hydraulic practitioners have been extended to use.

2、bar

When the unit kgf/cm2 in the unit of force from kgf (kilogram force) into N (Newton), that is, N/cm2, after the introduction of a new unit bar. 1bar = 10 N/cm2 ≈ 1.02 kgf/cm2, so there are many hydraulic practitioners to 1bar as 1 kg to use.

3、MPa

Our country uses the international system of units and therefore uses the Pa (Pa). 1 Pa= 1N/m2=0.0001 N/cm2=0.00001bar Of course, for hydraulic technology, a unit like Pa is too small, so we generally use megapascals (MPa) as the unit, that is, 1 MPa = 1x106 Pa = 10 bar.
