Properly connect to a hydraulic hose
Make sure the hose is the required length. It can be cut to optimum size with a hose cutter, with clean ends to reduce the risk of contamination and assembly failure.
Select the appropriate hose fittings. Make sure to consider the size, pressure, temperature, material, style, and orientation of the fittings to match your operation.
To determine the insertion depth of the connector, make a mark on the hose with a marker pen. Lubricate the hose and insert the hose into the fitting up to the mark on the hose.
Adjust the crimper to the proper diameter, place the hose end into the crimper, and crimp the hose.
Verify crimp diameter.
Use a hose brush to clean hose assemblies to avoid contamination.
